Nature Art Club!
Outdoor School Based Classes
In these fun, creative classes we make projects such as sculptures from natural materials, rock painting, building fairy houses, leaf prints and more. Our focus is on play and exploration as opposed to end products. Connecting with nature through art helps children be more present and learn about the complex world right under our feet.
In the spirit of forest and outdoor schools, these 1 hour classes are fully outdoors regardless of weather. We will have a large tent to stay dry and children are encouraged to dress for the weather.
Elementary school classes are all on-site (or at an adjacent Portland Park) and begin right when school ends.
Preschool and childcare classes take place during the school day.
Registering early is recommended as classes fill up quickly.
We are unable to provide refunds this time. We are also unable to prorate for absence, late registration, or unexpected school closures. A late fee of $15 is charged if a child is picked up later than 15 minutes after the class ends. If a class is cancelled by us, we will offer a make-up class or a credit toward future classes.
Meet the Founder and Teacher
Natalie Hunt has a master’s degree in art therapy and a bachelor’s degree in sculpture. She has been working with children for over 20 years. Natalie is energetic about sharing her love of the natural world and its beauty. She also works regularly with NAYA’s Indigenous Food Sovereignty Garden and Portland Fruit Tree Project.
